Two days ago i went to get the nobel out of my garage and i had to turn the engine over for sum time, it would not fire at all, i tryed several times and in the end it started! iv used it several time since with no problem, Then i started it up this morning drove it outside to help a friend out with his car, went to put it back in the garage and it will not start, is there a common cam or rpm sensor fault,i do not have a spark, or poss alarm fault? any help guys would be great?

Do you have a tracker fitted to the car?

If yes the constant drain on the battery from the tracker mixed in with the cold weather will bugger the battery. I had the opposite effect during the summer the battery was cooking due to the heat!

I would suggest buying one of the trickle chargers that plug into the cigarette lighter for when you are not using the car or if you park the car on the road try one of these solar units. www.cbsonline.co.uk/solar-battery-charger--solar-1...

My car is in a garage with no power so I have fixed the unit externally and run the cable through, you can always just put it in the front window if the car is outside.

sounds a good idea with the charger, i no the batt was fine and charged! i was checking rmp sensor and phase sensor they seemed to check out ok, checked the coil pack that seem ok, after lots of checks i found that if i move the loom that sits bye the front turbo it will start, and when i got it running and i pull on the loom it cuts the engine, so im gunna have to get it in the air and check out what the loom goes to and find the break or bad conection?

I have a similar problem if the car is left standing for any length of time, I had assumed it was just a case of fuel starvation. Always starts in the end (three - five turn overs) without a noticeable drain on the battery. Wouldn't like to do it too often though!

I don't class this as a problem is what I'm trying to say mainly because if I use it everyday it doesn't happen.

i checked for spark and nothing at the time, the time i checked if the fuel pump was priming it started, iv had problems with the fuse holder in past with the engine cutting out and breaking down, but sorted that, its someting to with the loom that goes down by aircon compressor, not sure what it is feeding, goes down towards alternator direction, im guessing something has got hot from fron turbo, the loom sits bye all the relays, there is a post iv just see on the fourm that has just been posted saying any idea? and the pic of the loom is on that, maybe its a feed to fuel pump?

Take out all five relays near the ECU and clean the contacts and the bases, also a good idea to clean the fuse carriers near them.
