I've just been to hell and back (otherwise known as a wedding fair)
Everything is booked up already with the exception of our photographer - was hoping to stike it lucky but alas no....The biggest problem is most of the photographers I've met don't instill me with confidence. Not knowing one of the largest venues in their area etc doesn't make me think *book him*

Can someone (anyone) give me an idea of some good questions to ask and what to look for?

(oh and the wedding is on the 7th March '09 - and no there isn't a shotgun involved)

There are a couple of very good wedding photographers that frequent this site. I'm sure they'll be along in a while with links to their websites.

this guy did our wedding in 2007 and we were chuffed with the pics - he's local to you too.

David Bryce - www.davidbryce.com - although i suspect you would struggle to get him for 2010 let alone 2009, but as Photographer Of The Year

& Wedding Photographer Of The Year

& Classic Wedding Photographer Of The Year

Scottish Master Photographer Of The Year Awards 2008

I think your chances are slim, but love his work!

Good lord, there's a coincidence - she's a friend of mine. Based in Newbury now, I believe.

Anyway, can certainly recommend her as personable & fun. She's very good at working with people when shooting them thumbup

one other for the pot ... www.trueimage.co.uk or www.hazelthompson.com.

She did ours, and several others, but is more into photo journalism ... Observer Hodge Award winner, but she is a cracking lass and takes some pretty good photos!
