What are you driving to LM in 2009?

One thing i've been wondering about... every year us brits trawl over to Le Mans with some fabulous machinery to impress the locals, but... now they know that here in the UK the country is swamped with debt and is all but bankrupt, are the locals going to be impressed or will they think we're all a bunch of scmucks? 
Its not about impressing the locals, thats a ridiculous thing to say. Its about enjoying the whole experience from driving across France to the pre-race and race atmosphere. Its all about the fun, the race the escape. No matter what vehicle you choose to do the experience in from a 3 wheeled Robin to a Ferrari.
But going back to the original question, i will be doing the Lemans experience in a Ferrari again.

Come on... it is really isn't it? Not just the locals maybe, but other enthusiasts as well, but there has always been an element of Brits Abroad and showing off, imo. You hardly drive across France to get to Le Mans, and as hard as you may try, it is very difficult to make the drive really interesting without going well out of the way.It's just a thought i've had. When the French are sitting outside their homes waving goodbye to us all on the drive back to the ferry, i can't help thinking what other thoughts might be in their minds this year...
Maybe many old Transits with as many bench seats as could be fitted might be the thing...
Then next year back to the Fezzas, Tivs and Porkers.
On the other hand, take the Tivs, Fezzas and Porkers regardless but maybe we need some new PH stickers: whats's French for 'Crisis, What Crisis?', 'Credit Crunch My Arse' or 'Wife and kids Have Left Me but Ferraris Are For Life'.
Or perhaps some branded begging bowls withs signs saying 'Can't Afford Fuel Home'.
Wonder what the pound will be worth by June?

I think a sticker like 'what credit crunch' on a Ferrari or Porsche might have a negative affect on the owner/driver and find a big key mark down it. Might be too much bragging when others are feeling the effects.
I'll be heading down in my Cayman S, a mate is taking his boxster. Should be fun heading down (or up from St Malo).
I'll be putting a few stickers on again.
Out of interest... what is the general opinion on stickering up the car? I see it as adding to the atmosphere of the event, with people making an extra effort heading to the race.
Or is it a bit sad?

Im lucky enough that my mates dad is letting him take his Dax Cobra, its been off the road for the last few years so its having a bit of a refresh. If for any reason they dont get it on the road we will be taking the Mojo. Ive always wanted to take the Mojo over since June 2006 where the car broke down 10 miles away from the Portsmouth ferry terminal. However the chance to be a passenger in a Cobra is too good of opportunity to turn down.

Left on for a few events I must get round to taking them off but a couple have proved so popular they might stay

No stickered up cars for us this year. The party has dwindled to just two people (come on nurburgring1, it's not too late to change your mind!) this year. We've gone for a 3kw generator and this....
