i found a website once with a few singlespeed/fixies for sale. i think the guys were london based but it wasnt brick lane cycles. they had a few old raleigh/peugeot frames and had rebuilt them to a reasonable spec....can i find the website again? can i fk!.... any help most grateful, they were around the £300 mark

There was a guy called Drummond selling cheap fixie/ss conversions on ebay and his own site. Quick google doesn't find much but it definitely matches your description. You could try a search on the LFGSS forum.

yeah i had a look there and moving target but couldnt find anyhting. they looked quiet tidy and could just be the thing for some summer cruising... come summer obviously...
