Im looking at going to this with a group of friends, any ideas of where to get the tickets. Also if anyone is interested in a bit of a road trip, then feel welcome to join us

You don't need advance tickets. Best is to get a paddock ticket on the spot when you arrive. It gives you access to the pit area (garages) but not on the pitlane which can also be accessed with a special pass. You can walk around the track for various free viewing points. It's the accomodation you have to plan in advance. Camping by the track is also possible but you have to be there days before to get a good spot.

if you want to camp out on the old ring next to the circuit you'll need to get tickets in advance..

we went to the 24hr a couple of years ago and just turned up at the campsite on the GP circuit at 3 am on the friday morning bought a ticket and camped... walked to the circuit gate and bought a ticket there..

the paddock was open then no need for a special ticket but that may have changed...

you could just walk through the campsite to a circuit entrance ( bottom of the gp circuit by the big hairpin)

there was a big party bar with food there just outside the circuit..

not the best for getting out on the old circuit as its a bit of a hike ( you need mountain bikes for that)

but great for the gp circuit part inc pits and paddock.

Seven of us going this year, but we are staying in a hotel rather than camping.

We are going to the 24 Hours. 3rd year on the trot. Never needed tickets for the paddock before, just show your event ticket which gets you into the GP circuit and Nordschleife. The paddock and the start straight is open to everyone for a couple of hours before the race starts, great chance to get close to the cars. Spectating on the Nordschleife is the best part of the event. I would recommend camping out there or staying in a hotel within walking distance of the track. We booked through these guys again for ’09 and they have hotel rooms left. Very helpful and gave plenty of advice.

I shall be there Thursday to Monday with a group of 22 or so.

We have a couple of evening meals arranged for Thursday/Friday, helicopter flights - the lot!

Really, really looking forward to this, it's a fantastic event!

There is no amazing route to the 'Ring the best thing is to try and avoid Brussels at rush hour.

We are on the 10am sailing from Dover on the Thursday to Dunkirk.

We are staying in a B&B in Adenau but happy to meet up.
