My dog.

Having a bad day today, my beatiful dog died on staurday night don't want to go into too much detail because im still really upset by it, But we found him colapsed behind the dining room door when we got home after being out he couldn't control him body the house was a messy, So he was strechered to the car where he was taken to the vet you said she could give him something that will stop the pain but will not cure him so the decision was made that it wasn;t fair to keep him just for our pleasure although we love him soooo much we've had him for 15years since he was a little boy and he was just a perfect dog.

Sorry to hear that Penny, I know how attached people can get to animals. At least you did what was best for your dog and you can take comfort from the fact he lived a long life and you were with him to enjoy it x

If he was in pain, he is in the best place.

Had to have my cat put down after 13 years, all very sudden and we were not prepared at all. But she was so ill, it was the only choice.

It was a very hard thing to have to go through though....holding her in the the examination room, and just letting her slip away in my arms

Real bummer...that's the problem with pets, why are their lives so short?

Sorry for your loss. When you lose a beloved creature like that, then you understand how much of a gap they leave.

The best thing about them is that everything they give you is unconditional.

I lost mine about 2 years ago now. Still miss him a lot.

Losing a pet is devestating but atleast you gave him a wonderful life & you will always remember the special times shared.

I have a pooch but you hav eto try and see the funny side.

I was upset when I lost my 2 cockatiels which I'd had for over 15 years. Both died within a day of each other but life goes on.

Stop being miserable, think abou all of the good times you gave him and he gave you and move on.
