has anyone fitted lowering springs to the monaro? did it stiffen it up or is it chav u like only

I've driven MF's as have probably 1/2 of all on here.
Answering your Q,B055 VXR has lowered his iirc AND has 20" wheels - looks good, yes it stiffens it up, and no its not chavvy as the wheels don't sit in the arches as per you local chavster's doing an impression of an old citroen that's lost its gas.
Ride quality needs to be considered though, you aren't going to float down the roads on ANY stiff short springs... but thats very subjective and people have very different views on what's "firm" so try before you buy!
Yeah, have my ute lowered... umm, probably is too lowered, and am thinking about going the one up from what I have at the moment. Just getting down to roger is the problem.
Improves handling no end, and it is pretty brillant. Haven't done it in anger yet, as the roads are pretty rubbish at the moment, and not very good in the ute, but have noticed it tighten up quiet a bit. Would recommend it, but, don't go too low. At the moment, have major issues getting into the drive way, and every speed hump is a major issue.

As above, we have the demo car fitted with the pedders kit including the dampers. However, fitting just the springs on a VXR is OK, but dont even think about it on a CV8, you will bounce off the road!

how much lower does it go on springs only?
it is a VXR btw does it make it very bouncy and does it kill bushes and bearing in short order? car is used daily and i have the missus and kid in it on the weekend any piccies of a vxr lowered?

We do 2 hieghts, one super low, as per our CV8 demo, and another about 10-15mm higher, which helps a bit if you have slow down ramps to negotiate on a regular basis. On the VXR its resonable if the dampers are in good shape, but i would always recommend both springs and dampers. The stock VXR dampers are not up to much even when new on a standard car. Damping rate isn't really quite there.
Drove Roger's CV8 just before Christmas for a few days. The springs/dampers make a huge difference - flat as a pancake and so much more confidence inspiring. Makes my LS2 VXR feel like a luxury limo-barge in comparison. (Even with the newly fitted RR pack. Which is great none the less.....) Personally not bothered about the ride height but the handling was transformed.
