Not me they haven't! Got a quote for a number of TVRs (including a Cerb) to replace my S-Series currently insured with them (policy tkane out last year at 24)and they were all unbelievably cheap still...

Suspect this may be due to being an existing customer though, I've heard a couple of people say they're not doing under 25s any more.

Give Sunninghill a try - we only left them when Admiral started doing the multi car policy (we insure 4+ cars).....

yeah the lady at hartegy said it was in the last month. that the underwrighters said they cant do under 30's any more. she said they were quite bothered about it as they currenty have people on cover that they mite not be able to cover come renewal time. mannings best so far 580 on classic policy. think it will be them.

Right, this thread prompted me to give 'em a ring... Do you want the good news or the bad?

The bad news is new customers under 30 aren't being accepted.

The good news is existing customers are free to renew.

So, that just means I need to continuously insure something with them for the next 4.5 years to be on the safe side. Not wishing to rub it in, but based on their rates (£200ish a year for a 25 year old in London with an S3, rising to a still-less-than-intimidating £430 for the same driver in a T350C)

Have you tried Hagerty? I'd expect it to be under half that on their limited mileage policy.

When I was looking at getting a Cerb (still want one) a few months back I got a quote from Mannings (best of all the quotes I received) of £980, for 10k miles per year (Cerb as my only car) £500 excess, euro and track day cover + all the trimmings, and that's for me at 25.

If Hagerty can no longer accept under 30's as new customers, I presume that it will be the same for Mannings as they are underwritten by the same company...

Bargain! biggrin

The worst thing about this thread is seeing the title and thinking that it applies to me, then realising it no longer does.

Hagerty quoted me to add my 20 year old (I know I don't seem old enough hehe) in March?

The White Elephant guys have a thread in TVR General about a discount at Footman James, may be worth trying.

Classic Line at Hinckley are also good.

Those of you above that say track day cover is included with Hagarty suggest that it is all part of the premium. As far as I am aware it is available with an additional payment of 10% of premium per track day.

Is this how your policy reads?

Sorry to rub it in guys, but there is a good side to being 50. With me, my wife and my 30yr old son driving my cerb and my jag xkss, agreed value with the jag being worth much more than the cerb, Hagertys was £473 the lot.biggrin
