I am in serious agony at the moment because I had a *massive* crash on Friday while skiing. My ski pre-released off a jump and I went flying sideways straight into a tree! I can hardly walk on my leg and I need to get better quick because I am so fricken bored sat all day with nothing to do. Has anyone got any tips how to get better quickly? I need the bruising to go down asap and get back out there??

Arnica Cream or tablets. Will bring the bruising out more quickly.

Stab your other leg? It won't make the bruise go down but it'll take your mind off it.

Regular icing and compression. Works brilliantly for the terrible bruises haemophilia patients can get.

Otherwise known as wonder cream.

Also take ibuprofen to reduce swelling.

If it is really that bad you may have a large haematoma that requires incision and drainage, or you may just be a wuss (medical term).

Arnica has been shown to have no effect. Iceing and compression may help.

I can get ice I just need to go and scrape some off the car hehe

I have used some of that heat spray stuff but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

Ice packs, anti-inflammatories and try to keep weight off it for a bit, thats what I was always told when I had knee problems.

old wives tale that does work

Rub neat gin on it ..drink as well if you like the stuff

I used gin when I tore the ligaments in my ankle a few years ago and can honestly say it helped

No better than placebo for treating bruises, in reality.
