evening school.
Discussion
I have college this evening from 6 till 9 30. 45 min commute each way so that's leaving the house at 5 15 and home by 10 15. usually I am fine with this.
but now I have a cold and am tired and have been at work all day and generally feel drained. Would it be wise to have a nap before hand or would I just make myself even more tired by the time I need to leave the house and get to college. what else could I do to wake up? any tips?
anyone else find this type of study really draining?

Snack a lot, especially ate afternoon when your blood sugar is low. Bananas are good. Berocca are good.
Try to get out in daylight for some fresh air - even a walk around the block.
Is it messing up your sleep or rest at all? Disrupting eating?
not my eating but I do get about 5 hours sleep a night. can't do anything about it. no matter when I go to bed I wake up 5-6 hours later. pain in the arse tbh.Try to get out in daylight for some fresh air - even a walk around the block.

think I will just go home and eat a load of food and maybe a walk then.

Good idea.Don't forget the fundamentals:
Food & Water & Breathing - or you might die.

I didn't answer your main question - yes - found it very tiring. Getting my brain to witch off at night was the hardest thing. On top of study, work and other commitments, finding time to chillout and do something just for myself (cinema was always good). Helped to just switch phone off, switch tv off just kick back with some music and a pint.Try to get out in daylight for some fresh air - even a walk around the block.

I finished my degree through evening study. I had half an hour to go from Glasgow to Hamilton twice a week, no help at all from my employer, worked full time all the way through as well as moving house and setting up home for a baby. Its hard and draining but its worth it. but now I have a cold and am tired and have been at work all day and generally feel drained. Stick with it, you'll reap the rewards.
