S3 suspension upgrades

Contemplating a few suspension upgrades. Can somebody give me an idea of the options (ie Nitrons, Gaz etc.) and their respective prices; what's involved in fitting them and how much labour costs would be if I cheated and got someone else to do it?
What do you reckon is the ideal 'fast road' setup? I'm not a fan of ultra-stiff, track setups. The target is to reduce roll slightly and keep a better control on weight transfer while still maintaining enough compliance to keep it predictable on real-world roads.
