Holiday suitable for a young family in March

Hello Globe-trotters,
I'm after people's advice on where to go for a holiday this March (mid-March, I suspect) for a family of four including 2 kids - one 2.5 years old and one 9 months old (or they will be).
I'd like somewhere warm but not hot - with "nice" weather, doesn't have to be beach (in fact, it wouldn't be a beach holiday if I have my way) but with stuff to do for the littl'uns (or the eldest, at least). We don't want to spend a great deal so would like to hear of the cheaper end of the scale. That said, it doesn't have to be bargain basement.
We're happy to fly (though the eldest hated it the last time he flew) or would consider driving - bearing in mind that we have a 4.4 V8 that does 30mpg at BEST!!
So gang, what's the thoughts?

I'll run that past Landlady tonight then. I'll let you know how I get on. Don't know really what you can do with nippers those ages as they are a little too young for the usual suspects and it's not the right time of year for most places close by.
Plan something that the Mrs and you will enjoy and the kids will tolerate. Lets face as far as one is concerned it Might as well be a seedy Singa strip club for all they will remember and the other won't remember much more 3 months later.

Stop slacking Phil.
We stayed here on our honeymoon, it's run by a retired english couple who were lovely. It's in the middle of no where farms either side. They also have a mobile home in seperate grounds which they also rent out which may be more suitable for you.
Getting there was easy... drive to Portsmouth, overnight ferry, then a 45min drive on the other side.
Brittany has plenty to do, 30min or so drive to the beach, le mont st michel is around an hour away etc.
Either way the link goes to a website called Ownersdirect on which you may find something better suited.

A self catering holiday is your best plan with children of that age.
How about a week in Edinburgh in a flat close to the town centre( Dean village or similar )?
The weather is normally pleasant in the Spring and being off season, the place is not overly busy with tourists.
There is pleanty to do and see.

You should e ale to get a deal on the Ferry as well.
The children will have lots to do and will love exploring the Dinosaur parks.

Disney World in Florida! I took my wife and rug rat there last year, had a whale of a time and not too pricey really. I know a lot of people slate it, and it won't be very warm in March, but have you considered CentreParcs? Perfect when you have kids at that age (and they have a crèche that you can chuck them in to have a bit of adult time as well)

- Anywhere self catering, with a big TV for the evenings when the kids are asleep.We did South Wales & Southern Ireland for a couple of years...enjoyed the driving too.
