Mounting gearbox sierra xr4i against essex engine

it is possible to fix a sierra gearbox xr4i construction 1986 (v6 2800i) against essex engine 3000cc v6 (TVR Taimar)
And what adjustments should be done

hi,a bit of a can of worms really,you will need the correct bellhousing first,and wait till you see the price of a new bellhousing, if that still doesn't put you off there are modifications to the input shaft that has to be done i believe you have to shorten it by 14.7mm,but i'm not sure there are far more knowledgeable guys on this forum will be along shortly

From memory a late granada bell housing and the ist motion shaft is to be shortened by 14 odd mm. I think also the clutch plate needs swapped for something else. spigot shaft bearing possibly also needs changing.

People like caprisport or the ford forums where people are 5 speeding 3.0 capris will give the answer.
