Space heater ... for a single garage

I'm getting fed up with spending every weekend frozen to the bloody bone in my garage working on the car. I do have a few electric heaters but the wife has said and I quote "They cost a f
king fortune to run you fking ginger-headed muppet bd - get yourself a fking space heater"
So what size propane one do I need for a single garage? I've had a look on fleabay and these industrial bd ones would take the paint off the walls I reckon. Only looking to have it on to take the chill off but do those small ones work okay? (The £100 new ones)?
As well as me playing at being an Arctic explorer out there, me filler takes ages to bloody set an' all ...

A space heater is one that's a tube like a jet engine burning propane, right?
I've never understood those things - don't they pump your workshop/garage full of warm water vapour that's looking for a place to condense? And don't they become dangerous very quickly in confined spaces?
Would love one too if they're safe for use in small spaces, but not if everything in the garage is going to become dripping wet in the process.

When I get cold in my garage I just work faster. Welding and grinding tends to keep me warm, but I know what you mean about the filler. Layers will help you. Couple of tshirts,plus a fleece or hoodie and a pair of overalls and you'll be sweating like Gary Glitter in a kindergarten.
Must be a big single garage if you've got room for a heater, mind. Or a really small car.

Oh, I've got the right stuff on alright. Couple of layers, thermal stuff on under the jeans, wolly hat complete with bobble but it's me hands ............
It's okay, but it could do with being warmer.

FWIW, we used ot run a space heater in the garage I worked at - about the size of four double garages. Having it on every day, even with ventilation, eventually led to us all feeling a bit ill, hangover-type symptoms.

1968 Volvo 142. Exact same size as a 240. One of only a handful of UK cars left. The owners club are less than impressed about the Mustang back axle, 16v turbo engine, etc.
