So after the pub crawl mentioned on the thread in Pie and Piston.

Does anyone fancy recreating the train/pub crawl?

West Yorkie suggested something like

West Yorkie from other thread said:
start at Leeds station's Wetherspoons (Ease of meeting) then Batley station, Dewsbury, Mirfield (Navigation just at side of station), Huddersfield, Then Stalybridge?
New Years resolution was to not work as much.

Just seeing if anyone fancies it

My parents did that for a friend's birthday! I don't think they quite made Stalybridge, but they did have some good ales and a great laugh! Definitely worth doing thumbup

If you go to this link you can down load the 'Rail Ale' leaflet. It lists some of the pubs you can visit, although it doesnt mention ones like the West Riding for some reason. http://www.northernrail.org/offers/Rail+Ale+Offers

I've had a chat with a mate of mine and he's advised us to start at stalybridge. As the trains can get abit infrequent later on in the day.

Do we want some better weather, or is sooner the better? It doesn't really bother me as we'll be indoors most of the time anyway!

If there's only a few of us maybe we can call up at the Shepards Boy while were at Dewsbury? A Ossett Brewery pub and has a good reputation?

I'm up for sooner rather than waiting for the sunshine. Yeah I know shepherds.

Good link for info Simon, cheers! thumbup

There are offers and more info in the pdf below:

Should be a good day out.

beer

ETA: Oops, just realised either of these dates would clash with the 'Barn Weekend'. Although, if no-one was planning/wanting to go to the other then the dates could be okay.

Sorry I have something on then. Sorry for slow reply.

Think there is a pH event that weekend as well.

Any other ideas for Feb?
