New Front and back doors

I'm looking to replace my front and back door with a composite for the front and a regular upvc for the back. I've already had Everest in to quote and they came back with £3649 for both which seems pricey to me. I'm also looking to get some other quotes in, for supply and fitting. Can anyone give me a rough idea of what sort of price range is realistic? Also, are there any companies someone could recommend to me in the South Wales area? And any I should avoid?

I would estimate 800 to 1000 for composite front door and 300 to 500 for back door.

Can I ask Dr Gonzo; how exactly did you come to the conclusion that you err... Needed some new back doors? What happened to the old ones?

This doesnt surprise me. Sharps Bedrooms quoted me £4000 yesterday for three sets of fitted wardrobes plus a corner unit. Are these companies aware trying to put themselves out of business? I'll be happy to see them go. Rip-off merchants.

Way too much, tell em to feck off.

I replaced my front door (double width) with a nice Solid Oak door, plus the custom built oak frame for 1200 quid. Took the chippy one day to fit so another 200 quid. Job done.

UPVC doors can be purchased for a under 100 quid can't they, fitting would take less than a day.

Fitted furniture seems strangely expensive to me. I want a small fitted desk/ study area in a corner of one of my rooms and had some quotes done - £1500 for a desk with cupboard and 4 wall units. There must be collossal markup on that.
