..and I don't mean strippers or for those special moments in the boudoir.

In the 80's they seemed to be worn as much as tights and it was great to get a quick flash of stocking top occasionally, or the unmistakable outline of a suspender clip under a tight skirt but I can't remember the last time this happened.. must be 10 years or more frown

Now where was that "This thread is useless without pics" icon?

Was fortunate enough (despite being no oil painting myself) to have enjoyed the company of a lot of attractive young things in the 80's - being in my mid to late teens at the time - and sadly, my (extesnive) studies revealled that stockings were something of a rarity. IIRC, I only ever knew two girls for which they were 'default' choice.

Having been in a steady relationship throughout (most) of the 90's and now being married, I cannot bring any more current data to bear.

in the first year of the relationship, yes. after that, all you see is tights save for 'special' occasions. tights are probably the most unsexy thing a woman can wear.

Pretty much sums it up.

Also, why does it make you feel like a cheap perv when you suggest to your OH they wear some.

All went out of the window. The once fairer species decided that a more fitting look would be a nice little beer belly and if possible some flesh hanging over the side of the trousers to give that 'I was once slimer than this' look so many women now sport.

Also gone are high heels in favour of scruffy flat shoes that tread on trouser bottoms making them dirty and wearing holes.

This all adds to the short, fat and squat look we've come to know and love.

Ladies - make an effort - it won't kill you.
