ooo ive had a day of it!.....Driving to work this morning the clutch pedal became 'soft' with no bite till almost the full extent of the pressing down of the pedal itself, gear changing becoming an obvious problem. I checked the clutch fluid level which was virtually non existent. I called the AA out as a precation (and also i thought they might be able to bleed the system there & then). They came out but unfortunately they cant due to environmental probs. Anyway they followed me to the AA service centre who have diagnosed a faulty slave cylinder. I left the car there for them to fix....they called back to say that my local Lotus dealer couldnt send the part to them?!?. So they left it to me to find the part. So i did. I rang Steve at SJ sportscars who i found most helpful with his advice etc and who is sending me the part which even including delivery is much cheaper than the dealer. Ive dealt with them before and found they were excellent then, just wanted to put my 2p worth in as i think good service is worth mentioning. nice one SJ sportscars
