Silly question i know. but here goes.
going to rip out the factory audio kit shortly. well when the weather warms up at bit. and im collection all the stuff i need before hand like speakers and wiring adaptors as there is nothing worse than starting a job and releasing you are missing some kit.
my question is this. how many aerials does the monaro have? i have read a post some where on here that suggests there is 2. does this mean there is 2 aerial connectors on the factory unit? and if so which one should i plug in or can i get a converter to join and use both? plus are they active aerials?
i know i could answer by taking the unit out but wont have a chance until the end of the weekend.

Hi Mate,
Yes, the monaro has two aerials, one in the rear and other in the front wing (or something like that). I can't remember which one (think black) I used but basically plug one in and see if ok, then connect the other and see any better.
Personally, I have never had receiption problem with just the one.
Cheers

Yeah, I've been through this one when I had a pioneer unit fitted by an 'engineer'. The result is I have perfect FM reception but no real signal on AM. The 'engineer' did a bit of tooth sucking and said he'd have a think about it. Never seen him again but at least he didn't charge me for the job! From this I think we can deduce that one ariel is FM and the other AM. What can you do? Well after a while you discover that you can live without 5Live.
On the other hand I'm told that certain VW Golfs have the same problem so a visit to their forum might be a good place to start.
Best of Luck
