Sagaris brake pad options

Hi Guys,

What are the options for the front pads on the sagaris?

Online shops don't have TVR as an option for Ferrodo etc althoguh I know thats what they use.

So where do people source them from, which ones and how much roughly?

I still have the original pads from the car (I think) and they had 50% still on them. You are welcome to have them if you can either collect or pay postage.

Let me know if you are interested and I will double check that they are still somewhere to be found in my garage!

If its the fronts then they are the same as the T350/Tamora, and possibly Tuscan. Same calipers - just spaced further from the hub for a bigger diamter disk.

Feroda DS2500s are my favourites. Do a search - go back a few years - you'll find a reference to the supplier.

More then happy to pay the postage if you would be kind enough see if you still have them.

I have now applied as much copper grease as possible to the existing pads (mintex race compund?). Squeal stopped for about a week then came back.

Was going to try the shims from tvr parts but seeing as they come to £20 odd quid i thought I'd might as well buy a new set of softer compounds.

I have just put AP Racing/Ferrodo's on my T350, not driven it yet so cannot really give much feedback. I was told that anything other the the Ferrodos or red stuff tend to squeel quite badly. So if you are using it on the road probably best to stick with those two.

AP Racing Ferodos are DS2500. I remember now - my latest ones came directly from TVR Power - the box said AP Racing and DS 2500 was also written on the pads.

Yes, still have them but they are probably 60% worn (40% left). I do not recall these pads squeeking so if you want them then pm me with your postal address.

Yep those are the ones and I bought them from there. Got them the next day.

Will try out standard pads to check its just the pads causing the squeal and then go for replacement.

Ferodo DS2500s are definitely awesome pads, I've run them on several performance cars over the years and can never fault their performance. But my one complaint about them is that they really are one of the 'dirtier' types of pads ie. they churn out loads of red-coloured brake dust, much more than a standard pad. Which of course means more effort to keep your wheels in good nick.

The mintex pads on mine are brilliant.

Really good stopping power and get up to effective temperatures very quickly. Unable to get rid off the squeal however so will probably change to the DS2500s.

Anthracite wheels will hopefully hide the dust a little!

The F4Rs have better initail bite and all-round performance than most pads out there. I use them on my race car....and they dont squeal (but they do in my raod car!)
Just be carefu with high metal content pads though..the dust will eat your alloys!
