Most Prolific Speed Camera

So the it seems that the most prolific speed camera in terms of revenue now causes and additional 25% accidents.

For those not in the know it is at the bottom of the M11 where it goes from 3 lanes to 2 lanes.

I commuted down and up the M11 for 15 years or more and still use it frequently now. In all of these years I have never ever seen an accident at this point. It has a natural speed reducing effect by going into 2 lanes anyway.

I have friends who have been 'Got' by this camera at 2.00 am when being the only car on the road.

If they want revenue then why not be upfront and charge a toll to pass this point and not think we are that stupid to believe that they are for safety reasons. I believe they are now called safety cameras. It is not speed that kills but bad driving and together with inappropriate speed.

These latest stats blow the safety argument as I am sure that a lot would agree.
