They need to recruit 4,500 new magistrates to handle cases diverted from jury trials.

But they're having to reject applicants with speeding points, so they can't meet their target.

Now, why didn't they see that one coming........? Idiots.

Obviously, this is very funny. But I would like to know why someone with points for speeding is deamed unsuitable to be a magistrate. Surely they could be a magistrate so long as they do not handle speeding cases. Or are we just second class citizens.

What next, removal of voting rights for misdemeanours like in America?

I guess the problem is that most court cases WILL be speeding cases soon, so having a Judge that can not do speeding cases would be a waste of time.

That's just daft. In five years there will be no-one without points on their licences.

I'm trying to uncover the great conspiracy.

Insurance companies secretly fund scamera partnerships in order to increase premiums...

The Pulitzer is MINE!!
