Has anyone else noticed the huge reduction in spam e-mail in the past couple of months?

I know someone (in the States I believe) was arrested over it but even though I read at the time that these people were largely responsible for a huge amount of spam I didn't think the reduction would be as noticable as this.

Either that or yahoo has improved filtering.

Huge reduction since Christmas has passed - in the 2 months to run up, get loads of emails, but to be fair, mostly from subscribed services. Unsubscribed as it was getting a bit much in December, now my mailbox is looking a bit empty! Might have to re-subscribe!

Actually I've had a huge increase in spam, so I must be getting yours! the latest seems to be spam from (apparently) my own email address, so if I block it then it blocks any emails sent by me from discussion groups or 'reply all' etc.

If they do catch these spammers I hope they get life imprisonment. furious

I've been getting loads in my hotmail, but that's mostly my fault for using my main email address to sign up for porn...
