christmas island(indian ocean)

Does any one know of anyone that lives on this island?,i had a relative that used to be a teacher there(died long time ago),and i would like to find out if he left any relatives.any further ideas on locating details etc gratefully recieved.

wikipedia says there is only one school on the island, so maybe not a bad place to start enquiries?
