Saw plenty in Corfu this year.
Initially scary and I killed as many as I could, proudly piling up the corpses and showing how manly I was to the wife.
Then I came back home and found out they are pretty docile and rarely sting in the same way that wasps do. And their sting isn't even that bad.

A sting from a std hornet is FAR FAR more painful than that of a wasp. Double figure stings from hornets, your in trouble...
