This one's for you, Oscar
Discussion
Got a call from my dad tonight. The family dog, Oscar died the other night, poor bugger ran under a car. I hope it was quick. I'm 1000 miles away so I'm not much use to those back home. My mum sounds devastated.
Was supposed to have an early night, but I guess a beer for the lad turned into a couple and some whiskey.
He was only 2, loved having his belly rubbed and was soft as a brush, I'll miss you, buggalugs,
If anyone wants to join me: To Oscar.

Poor Sod. I hate it when animals are run over.
Oddly, the other day I met the village Setter who is called Oscar for the first time in about six months. Found out he was run over six months ago, it shattered both his legs, punctured both his lungs and crushed his pelvis. He is finally on the road to recovery (he still limps and before that his hips didn't work well so he was dragging his foot, which got damaged as a result)..

Cheers boy
(what sort was he?)
Its quite nasty when someone runs over your pet. Many years ago someone ran over our cat, maybe it was a dreadful mistake but whoever done it slung the poor thing over someones back fence.
Another time someone tried to claim new headlight, numberplate, bonnet and tailgate damage even though you could clearly see the rust coming though.
