Profile editing & other animals

A few things.

If you write something in your profile, save it, go back in, it's full of html tags like </div>, and any pics/smilies turn into long hyperlinks. As a result, a simple edit turns into a mammath search through all the text deleting all the tags and crap.

You only seem to be able to upload a pic rather than giving a URL for your display picture.

There should be a button to show your profile as others see it - My Profile on the left hand side just shows your email address/subscription options, etc. I end up going to My Stuff in another window, finding one of my posts, and clicking on my username to view my profile...

And why do I still periodically get the "You're not logged in" -> Log in -> "You're logged in" -> My Stuff -> "You're not logged in" loop? I've been getting it on and off for years - I know that clearing the cookies fixes it but it's a pain in the backside. Can anything be done to fix it?

I'd guess you're swapping between pistonheads.co.uk and .com - be consistent and it shouldn't be an issue. When I 'suffered' with this I deleted all my old links and shortcuts, created new ones (all to .com) as well as clearing out old cookies and not had a problem since.

Nope, I always use .co.uk as I discovered that this was a problem before

Its a bug which affects firefox users (IIRC) but unfortunately not an easy fix.

It is on the 'to-do' list though, along with all the others you mentioned, so we should have them sorted soon.
