sods law regarding boilers!!!!
Discussion
So yesterday senior pies rings up to tell me his boiler had stopped working (ferroli), to which i laughed and said, "you want to get a valiant like mine, brillaint, never fail!!", yep, guess who's woke up this morning to no hot water??
So i have a corgi type bloke coming out at 5pm to have a look, but in the meantime i was just wondering is there any plumbers on here who can tell me what an ntc valve is?
The fault code is F.71 which in the book states, defective (stuck/constantly open) ntc valve.
Now, i can get hot radiators just not water, im making an educated guess that the ntc valve is my diverter valve, which i have tried tapping to free it off with the taps running to no avail. The boiler in question is an valiant ecotec plus.
Cheers in advance!
