Does anyone know how someone can become an executive club member (any costs or minimum number of yearly flights?)
Usually the std tesco clubcard deal is 60 miles per £2.50 in vouchers whereas this deal is 600 miles

Not accurate - Tier Points are earned on all but the cheapest economy tickets; all tickets in World Traveller Plus, Club World or Europe and First earn tier points.Although an economy tier point earning flight only earns 20 points each way (600 required for Silver), whether to Paris or Istanbul.
Well worth it. Then get a BA Amex card and pay everything under the sun with it, and shop via the Exec Club website to rack up the points even quicker. The Amex Platinum Plus also gets a yearly BOGOF voucher, so 100k miles plus the BOGOF will get you Club class to practically anywhere in the world.... with a spare seat or a friend!
Are these miles the same as Airmiles? Basically I just looked at LHR to NY 2 adults on Business Class is 30,000 miles if that is the case then that would mean mearly 125 clubcard pounds which to me doesnt feel correct.
Where is the converter? Also is it better to go for BA Executive club airmiles OR the normal Airmiles? (personally I prefer BA to any other carried I have used by some margin so would be happy for exclusive BA only).

No Airmiles are completely different - although owned by BA.
Redemption rates are (for North America):
World Traveller - 50k
World Traveller Plus - 75k
Club World - 100k
First - 150k
Other options include buying a WT+ and upgrading to Club for 25k miles - considered very good value, whereas redemptions in economy are very poor value as the Taxes plus Surcharges are almost the same cost as the cheapest economy ticket - although redemption tickets are flexible up to 24hrs before you travel.

Most combine Exec Club membership with Tesco Points conversion to BA miles and Amex miles gathering. Status (Tier Points) help access to lounges, increased miles earning and upgrade possibilities - if you are travelling longhaul several times a year and are prepared to stump up a bit more cash (not buy the cheapest fare) then Silver is relatively easy, Gold harder.

That'll be the BA Premium Plus Amex - Platinum cards charge and credit are different - make sure you get an existing cardholder to refer you, you both get miles (approx 7,000 at the moment); although the card costs £150 per annum and the waiver/reduction in fees for holding other eligible Amex cards seems to no longer be granted.RedImps said:

There was a miles sale a few weeks back - when all rates were reduced, with 2 Amex vouchers the 4 of us are off to NY in First for 150,000 BA miles plus £1,200 in the fees/taxes.

We have three separate accounts - with business spend generally manage to earn a voucher in three months!
Ony 520k miles in the bank left though ...

Unless I'm missing something.Further, Airmiles generally only offer tickets in economy, the upside is, there doesn't have to be redemption availability, they don't charge tax and surcharges, and on occasion you earn BA miles and tier points.
When BA changed to BA miles from Airmiles, they converted at a one off 14:1 rate.

One question I have I had a 2 adult rtn flight to South Africa over xmas bought economy & had a free upgrade to Business class (the new seats too & it was stunning) now I didnt think about the points at the time is it possible to get the miles for these put onto my BA Executive club account?
P.S. what are most people on tier wise/which is the best option for say give or take 4 flights a year (all mainly to Europe - but now having had the taste of long haul this might change).

You can only get miles in the Executive Club for flights that YOU personally are on. Hubby and I have flown between London and Chicago 4 times in the past 3 months and I only get miles on my account for the flights that I was personally on. Thanks for reminding me, need to sign him up for his own account....One question I have I had a 2 adult rtn flight to South Africa over xmas bought economy & had a free upgrade to Business class (the new seats too & it was stunning) now I didnt think about the points at the time is it possible to get the miles for these put onto my BA Executive club account?

Oh, also, you can get back credit of miles for flights flown up to 6 months ago. Go to the wedsite, go to claim missing miles and type in your ticket number which can be found at the bottom of your e-reciept. Actually a lot easier than it seems.
OK I have all the details so that will be fine. One thing the post above yours states that only I would get the points for myself the wifes would not be added - she would have to have her own account. And then reading the FF website she would need to have activity on her account at least once every 36months else the miles would be lost.
If that is the case can she "gift" her miles to my account or say we have an example total miles needed for the trip is 10,000 I have 9,500 and she has 500 can she add hers in to the total??

If you are a couple and are both Exec Club members you can link your mileage accounts via a household account.
