355 purchase and running cost advice please

There seems to be a wide range of prices for rhd 355's, private low dealers close to 70k.

What is a good price for a 355, I want to drive it around 6-8k per year.

I have a TVR now so am used to some running costs, heard loads of scary stories of big big bills for dealer service and the dreaded camm belt.

Whats a good budget for service and the ususal problems?

Bought my 1999 355 Spider in June 2002. It had done 5000 miles (don't know why the previous owner bothered). Clock now reads 12,000 and I enjoyed every one of them.

Costs so far 1 service at around £750, 2 rear tyres £550 (1 blew out and I thought it best to replace the pair) and insurance at £1400.

Just had 2 new tyres (PZero's std size) fitted for £400. Are the spyder tyres different ?

Cant remember how much they were now, it was a few months ago. I do remember that they were a lot cheaper than I expected which makes a change.
