Which tv/broadband/mobile/landline/etc company?

Hello all

I currently pay (what seems like a lot) for various services that many companies now offer in bundles. I am moving house soon and figure it's a good time to consolodate and/or get a better deal.

I currently do (something like) this:

Orange Mobile: £40ish/month
BT Landline: £35/quarter I think
Sky+ full monty: £45/month
Orange Broadband: £5/month (because I have the mobile)

This comes to over £100/month, and it sounds like some companies (such as Sky and Virgin) are offering good TV/Broadband/Phone packages.

I don't need a landline at all - I only get it to have broadband. So mobile internet may even be an option, as it often comes with a free netbook too (which I quite fancy), and means I save on the landline.

Has anyone got an all-in-one package recently? If so, please save me some leg-work... which did you go for (and why), and are you happy with it?

My requirements are:

• Mobile phone with unlimited (or lots of) texts - no need for many free mins, I rarely make calls
• Movies TV package, along with the documentry channels - no real need for sports
• Broadband - I don't download masses of data, but I use it (way too much) for email, web browsing, MSN etc

(obviously I appreciate that it only seems to be the mobile packages that offer the mobile service, and I may have to go for a landline/TV/broadband and keep my current mobile)

its not great is it

We have BT vision/broadbannd/phone gold package

about £70 per month.

Broadband is very good with unlimited downloads and good speed and i was surprised how good the vision is, a good alternative to sky.

For balance, Sky broadband is great (in my experience).

I have Sky TV (inc sport), basic broadband (2mb) + line rental and calls for about £51 per month. My mobile phone is free (work), so I'm not sure what the best deal on that would be.

Beg to differ. Never had any problems with mine, download speeds are great and its pretty cheap

I tend to disagree...I have found it nothing but excellent and the setup has to be the easiest there is. You dont even need to use the cd. Its speeds are good and I have never heard of a single person getting pulled up for downloading or had it throttled (but I do believe they probably do).

I've done hundreds of broadband installations and Sky ranks as the easiest.

If it has a fault its that piece of ste they call Mcafee Security they put on the cd.

And no I dont work for or am I affiliated to Sky
