Media Streaming

Just wondering if such a thing exists that supports wireless ?
Reason being is that primarily I watch streamed football on my laptop (Due to being unable to get Sky here), but would like to stream it onto the TV, and the ability to show pictures stored on the laptop would be nice too. Would prefer not to have a wired connection, due to the cables and the 40ft run between the two...
Was looking at the Samsung Media Live (as I have a Samsung TV <Spit>), but it looks like this is just a glorified version of Windows Media Centre - would I still be able to broadcast a sopcast/justin.tv stream through it ?

Or would something like the Linksys be a better choice ?
