I made it myself...

Fairly straightforward once you get down to it. Look at it as lots of little systems (indicators, sidelights etc...).

I now have a nice fuse/relay box in the engine bay just above the master cylinder for the brakes.... Keeps everything simple... Using modern relays and blade fuses as well... Should help make the car a little more reliable!

Its looking good, find anything unusual behind the dash, i found this doubling up as a storage slot, expiry on the box was 1981, the 'M' is a '78 car so whats the chances it was a standard "off the shelf" part from new.

Hahah... that cardboard box is classic!

All I found behind my dash was a horrible tangle of rotten, metled and badly bodged wiring....several used parking tickets and a soiled tissue!

Whilst trying to trace previous owners the first owners son emailed me saying he remembered the cars interior as padded vinyl with wood dash and it being back to the factory numerous times for radio reception issues. Dried food products can have a shelf life expiry of up to 3 years, yes i know the box could have been fitted anytime I suppose........ anyway I found it amusing and hope after i am gone the next to remove the dash finds the Uncle Bens rice box(expiry 2010) equally as funny.

AutoSparks have just quoted me £278 (+VAT) for a full 3000M loom including additional socket to allow the bonnet to be unplugged for easy removal. Didn't seam too bad for a fully bound loom,

They can be contacted via their website :- www.autosparks.co.uk

Cheers
