I asked a few leading uk supercharging specialists about this modification on a new M3. All said it could not be done due to the type of natural aspiration used.

Might not be easy, but I think just about anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. What is unusual about the M3 aspiration that makes it so hard?

No idea ?! I couldn't see the problem either, although I'm not qualified to comment. All I know is they we not interested in a conversion. Maybe just too much hassle for them so replied negatively.

That's B*llocks it can't be supercharged - there's a firm in germany supercharge M3s to about 500bhp, they had to be fitted with new rear diffs off a 745i to cope with the extra torque

I'll try to dig up a link....

Dig out the details of ESS Tuning in Norway/Sweeden (www.esstuning.com I think). They superchare all sorts of BMWs and seem quite well regarded. If the tiv had sold, I'd have been doing a frankenstein job on my 7 series...
