OK, so I think this is another brilliant idea of mine.
If, hypothetically, there was a forum where threads ranged from brilliant, to utter drivel, being able to hide these threads so that page one only consisted of 20 threads that you wanted to read, or had not yet looked at would be a massive improvement from my point of view, in that interesting stuff wouldn't get pushed of the bottom of the page.
As it would be a user controlled feature, you wouldn't incur any additional workload on mods/administrators etc. and no bleating from the mongs about having had their precious thread about their favourite crisps being deleted.
I don't want to see any more threads about peoples' pets, but who am I to call for them to be banned, likewise, I don't give a monkey's about peoples social arrangements, but with this feature both goups can painlessly and unobtrusively get what they want.
Similar features already exist in the form of "Show Favourite Forums Only", so you would just need to copy this functionality within the forum.

Lost of hassle to press "ignore" 15 times per page of 20 threads.
I see where your coming from, you just see threads you want to read and have inputted into, but you can bookmark threads too.
Then go here, and read them all

Only downside is you still need to go through the forum lists and pick out the good ones...
