A piano bar in london?
Discussion
You know how sometimes you just wake up and decide before I die I need to...
Well today I am on a mission to find a swanky bar I can sit in to drink over priced beer whilst listening to someone in the corner rinsing out blues and jazz on a grand piano.
Can anyone recommend a place please?
I know town quite well but confess to sticking with restaurants or clubs mainly. Lets find some talent!

Not quite a Piano bar ....
But after an interview at EMI (Knightsbridge I think?) a few years back called into a McDs round the corner. And they had a nice'n'black'n'shiny'n'big Piano.
At a McDonalds.
And it was being played.
Quite a good sound. Didn't quite fit in with the cheeseburger though.

I know it's not London, but there is a new one that has just opened in Guildford. I can't for the life of me remember what its called though!

I used to go to one at the Landmark Hotel near Regents Park

I was going to suggest this one - the mezzanine floor is where the chap sits but it can (obviously) be heard on the lower levels. The hotel is opposite Marylebone. Very nice too.http://www.landmarklondon.co.uk/
There's also a place a bit further up towards Baker Street called The Potting Shed that used to (10 years ago...
) have a piano.Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
