My T-Mobile contract is expired and my SE K800i is useless (the usual Sony joystick problems)

Ideally I'd like to get something like the T-Mobile Solo 20 sim, which is a month-by-month contract that gives 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £20 a month. But then I'd need to find a new/used phone - ebay maybe?

Or I can renew my Flext 35 contract and get a new phone (£31.50 per month, £200 worth of calls/texts) - the downside is that T-Mobile no longer does 12 month contracts like my old one. It would have to be 18 months.

Either way - all I really want from a phone is a decent(ish) camera, good battery life and the ability to withstand a few drops and bashes. The K800i would be ideal if it wasn't for its dodgy joystick.

Something like a Google G1 would be nice of course, but I'd soon get bored of the gimmicks and would want better battery life.

So... ideas?

If the K800 was ideal but for its joystick, consider trying something like the C902 - similar overall spec. Maybe even try to find a K850?

My company mobile is going back so I needed to sort something out.

Got my last phone and bought a sim card from O2 on contract £10 a month for 150 minutes and 300 texts.

C902 looks good. But eBay prices are around £140. The extra cost of going for the 18 month contract would be £200ish, and I could get a new C905 with guarantee for that extra £60.

Was hoping for something £80ish on eBay if I go for the sim-only contract.
