Can be pleasant and relieving IMO.

i'll give you relieving, but its never pleasant. when i'm severely ill i don't eat and only drink milk, as at least that tastes fairly similar both ways.

there is nothing in the world more unpleasant than the taste and smell of vomit after a heavy night, then having to snort back the bits stuck in your nostrils and try to spit them out without swallowing. grim.
