Anyone driven one? Always had a 'thing' about them, just wondering what they're like. The people that drove them on rallies were heroes, homologation specials for the road always have a hairy reputation though (see: Stratos). With an 'easy' 450bhp+ out of one of these and with mid-engined fun is it as special as it is in my mind? Never managed to have a gander at one in real life...

I've not driven one, but IIRC the road version of the S4 put out 250bhp, not 450. But messing with the turbo AND supercharger (remember the S4 had both) will soon fix that.

Walkers are the guys for the S4 as I think they are the only blokes who have sold them in the UK. I thought the last time one was for sale in the Uk was the Silver/Grey S4 Walkers had about 5 yrs ago. It turns out that Walkers recently resold that car again last yr from talking to them lst month.

Yep, I was at Walkers getting my evo1 sorted and saw the S4 before it was sent out to its lucky new owner. Superb piece of kit in the flesh and was physically seemed quite a small car. The S4 needed a fair bit of work doing by Walkers before it was dispached..apparently as a result of standing and not being run/used.
