Just picked my car up from Racing Green having fitted Nitrons for me, big difference already its lost its twitchyness, however i do notice it has a much firmer ride and and big bumps i almost hit my head on the roof when bombing down the motor way

Racing green have set them up at 10 clicks out of a possible 20.

I was just wondering what you guys with Nitrons tend to have yours set at?

Any advice would be great.

As well as number of clicks, it'll also depend on the spring rates they've used. I dropped my rear rates by about 40lbs over standard Nitron kits in the Tuscan which suited my driving style/preferences a lot more. If it's that substantially firmer at present, I'd try 4-6 clicks softer. Know of quite a few people that've run just a couple of clicks from softest for standard road use (on standard rate springs).

I prefer a harder ride (000hh...eeer...missus) so have mine set 12 clicks on the front and 10 on the back (from soft)

Don't know if this is applicable but I had Nitrons on the Lotus and the general concensus was that you should count from hard not soft as some shocks had an extra click on the soft side as it were

Running Eibach springs if that helps, will try taking 5 clicks off front and back.

Thanks guys

also from my experience with nitrons as with most new shocks/springs...it takes a few miles (100 or so maybe) before they settle down and usually loose some of that original firmness.

Also worth checking your tyre pressures, TVR Power put mine back to 28psi when they set up my Nitrons.

Got my T350 back from Racing Green on Saturday after having Nitrons/Eibachs fitted. Very pleased with the results. They really add a level of polish (confidence) to the car's handling.

RG set the car up with 12 clicks front/10 rear, which was pretty firm but less "crashy" than before. Today I tried the car set to 8f/6r. I now have a car that not only handles well, but is actually pretty comfortable too. It now rides Hampshire's cracked and pitted tarmac better than the other half's "Posh Beetle".

If you're thinking about maybe doing the shocks, all I can say is <Mrs. Doyle>Go on</Mrs. Doyle>

Oh, and thanks to Martin at RG for letting me know my Half Time Bearing didn't need replacing, thereby releasing the funds for shiney things.

No it's a £95 option

I was going for Nitrons but went for Gaz Golds in the end I will report back when I've fitted them.

I think that it's dealer specific, According to Nitrons own website there +£95 yet on Powers site it inc Eibach's so do your homework.

The Eibach springs were an optional extra when I purchased my Nitrons. It cost me about £95 for each Nitron to have Eibach springs fitted.

"do my homework"?? I was replying to the OP's question - he stated that RG fitted the Nitrons. RG include Eibach's in their Nitron kit price. So sorry if I caused any confusion....

Ok Barry, sorry about that - bit of a knee-jerk reaction from me I'm afraid.....having a bad day today, didn't mean to be so frosty. Cheers for that mate,
