Maserati 3200GT Engine

Is the 3200GT Engine a Maserati/Ferrari engine? Or is it only the 2002 on cars that had the Maserati/Ferrari V8, i.e 4200GT etc?

The 3200 engine was designed and in prototype before Ferrari where involved. (They went into late Ghibli's) They actually where manufactured under Ferrari's careful eye. So could be called a Maserari engine if your so inclined!
3200 is a V8 with twin turbo, 4200 is a V8 NA

3200 engine was in the quatroporte evolutione not the Ghibli, the ghibli was a v6

You weren't far off - the Shamal had the 3200 V8 IIRC...
