Marmite conspiracy - what's the solution?
Discussion
This is too important for the food & drink forum...
It has come to my attention that the supermarkets are no longer stocking the 500g jars of Marmite.
Yes, i know what you're thinking, but it appears to be true.
I can only find the novelty jars (125g) which are only good for putting in Christmas crackers or the medium sized 250g jars which only last us about a week.
It seems that Unilever is trying force the 400g squeezable containers upon us and frankly we don't want them!
Part of the fun is trying to scrape the last remnants from the bottom of the jar. And you can see how much you've got left in the big jar. Who knows how much is in one of those squeezy things?
I have considered the catering tubs, but these seem to only be available in 600g plastic containers and if I order online, the price ends up being more than if I bought 3 x 250g jars!
So what's the solution? Anyone else having Marmite supply problems?
