on car wheel balancing
Discussion
I ran a national freefit business for eight years and no on the car balancer manufacturers suggest you use these machines for anything other than the vehicles mentioned or commercials, basically off the car balancers are so good now that if you need an on the car balancer you are compensating for a problem with the vehicle such as driveshaft, wishbone, steering joints etc. etc.
On an extreme basis with this when the problem you are compensating for finally aborts mission.... well you do the maths!
The best way to identify the problem if off the car balancing fails to cure is to swap the tyres front to rear to see if this changes the vibration (not so easy on a TVR I admit) but if anyone wants me to advise them on the best route for a particular problem then fire away.....
