They realised that was a flaw in their plan and changed the name to climate change, but it didn't frighten enough people into higher taxation, so now it's called climate chaos.

I think they should call it "cold weather"!

Hmm, a tax on 'cold weather' you say? scratchchin

Wouldn't put it past 'em. . . . . . .

But then I'm old enough to remember the hysteria over acid rain in the nineties. An area of rainforest the size of Wales disappeared every 15 minutes and we wouldn't be able to go outside without an NBC suit by 2001 or we'd melt. . . . . . . . . . rolleyes

Ah, no, you see, what has happened is that this cooling is "natural" whereas warming is not. You see, the planet can naturally cool which has more of an effect of all the MMGW they claim exists and this isn't a problem, BUT if it gets warmer, this is not natural but is of course man made.

So, to clarify, if it gets cold, it's a natural cycle, if it gets hot, it's man.

Like Clarkson once said, Global Warming was invented by Margaret Thatcher so she could sack all the coal miners in the 80's. Or something along those lines.

But what if the Saudis, with all their oil money, decided to make their country cooler by building super-massive outside air-conditioning units to cool the desert. Such an act would be man-made global cooling! As such, your argument is fundamentally flawed!

Err...

Aircons can't be used like that. They are essentially heat-pumps. Where will the heat be dumped?

On t'other hand, a gigantic entropy-reversal machine...

Ain't it just...

Steve. We really must enjoy a beer/mulled wine/something together one day. We really must.

We certainly should! I walk past your place (or near it three or four times a week) with my missus! This very afternoon we walked down Fuzzy Drove and then up to Wayfarers Walk (through the farm - you know the one?) Beautiful it was! White trees everywhere!
