With the Pirelli's being unobtainable at the moment I've just put some Continental Sport Contact 3's on the front of my VXR. I did speak with Andy at Monkfish before going with them and the feeling was that they should be OK for sidewall flex, etc. so I went for it.

I've only done about 500 miles on them so far but I think they are amazing. I don't think that my car has handled this well ever!

The original Pirelli's were pretty old - just done 30,000 miles on them - but I seriously think that even when new it wasn't this good, or even when I had the Road Response Pack fitted.

I now have zero tramping or tramlining. Turn in is precise. Road noise seems slightly less than with the Pirellis.

I've still got Falken's on the rear at the moment, but I'll be changing them in the next month and will deffo be having Conti's there as well.

At long last I have a car that seems to actually handle. Very, very impressed.

Cost £211 per corner fitted btw, so slightly cheaper than the Pirellis which I was quoted £224 each.

Agree completely about the Contact 3's, i had a full set put on my Ro a couple of months ago and straight away the car felt a lot more 'together'.

I went to Kwik Fit, but looked at what deals they had on their website before i went...and they fitted a full set, balanced the lot for £620.

Yeah, just noticed that they are running an advert that says 30% off a set of four.... shame I've just bought two...

Money well spent though.
