I've been there and it really is utter madness. There's an undercover area as you get into the main building which is ten times worse for the carts than that video shows. It's got to be one of the most dangerous bits of tarmac in the world
It's an amazing place although you need to be there very early to see the best of the action. The sushi & sashimi sold on the stalls outside is reported to be the best in Japan although at 6am I didn't feel like it at the time!
