Arrived from the uk 6 months ago on a high when things were rosy in the
UAE ,got myself a nice house on the Palm and a Ferrari F30 to go with it .
How things change so quickly ! my house has halfed in value in 12 weeks and my Ferrari is worth 150000AED less than I paid for it .(not good)and that's
if I can find someone to buy it!
So it was with some interest that I read about a new Supercar club that has
just been launched in Dubai, something the UK has had for years.
The outfit is called SCUDERIA 250 and as with the Uk clubs you pay a membership fee and then get access to a fleet of top-end exotica, Lambos,
Rolls ,Ferrari ,Porsche etc .The fee I am told is about 600000AED which gives you about 10,000k's worth of driving and no extra costs ,ie insurance maintance-seems cheap motoring to me .
Does anyone know more about it , I have registered on their website,
is anyone a member? .Seems like a good way to play in some nice cars , without the huge costs that go with it.

Read about this club last month in Car Middle East and Evo. Sounds a good idea - had a look at their website - www.scuderia-250.com - it says the price is from AED 55000. I have registered with them and they replied to say they will contact me this month to discuss details. Will keep you posted.

Had a meeting with the guys (and girls!) today .They all seemed
a good bunch , knew there stuff when it came to the cars, and also
running a Supercar Club ,one of them had something to do with
P1 International the most famous club in the UK , been on the go
for 9 years.
They were doing a photo shoot at Safa Park for some Mag, and had
brought along some heavy metal. Ferrari F430 ,Maclaren SLR,AudiR8
Nissan GTR a couple of Porsches,Bentley GT, Gallardo and some other
Stuff.
The idea is you pay your membership and get given points which you
redeem against the cars e.g Ferrari more points than Nissan GTR,
on average you get between 55 to 80 days driving a year for your
membership (starting price 55000aed ) that covers all your costs,
they even deliver to your home or work.
I,m going to flog my M3 and drive a VW everyday to work and buy a
membership! The idea of driving a different Supercar everyweek is
somewhat appealing.
Might upset a few locals though !!
