They came from the Citroen CX unless you have one of the Griffith LE, which used VW Corrado.

Not too clear how you've broken it, any chance of you posting a piccie?

Ah well its just snapped off; found it hanging from the wire. someone must have given it a good knock when parked up but no other damage. when i mean fron the inside i mean the internal plastic housing is also broken. so looks like it needs to be completely replaced. I might just take it to my local indie and get them to look at it. my car DIY stretches to checking the fluids and tyre pressures and thats about it! oh and too blooming cold to take a pic sorry

The reason I ask is it might be the 'toadstool' mount that's snapped (they're about £15) or the mount has broken off the frame inside There was a post of a self fix on here or the TVRCC recently. A lot cheaper than £200 + for a new one.

I too just found my wing mirror broken off, no idea how it happened, as car parked off the street.

The metal casting inside has snapped - looks like the piece that the mirror swivels on has broken (alloy, not plastic part)

Could have been the cold weather making the metal brittle in this recent weather?

Could what has broken on mine be the toadstool? And if so are they available from general motor factors?

This happened to mine, the bottom alloy part where it fixes to the alloy riser from the door had snapped. Mirror housing stripped off few self tappers through the frame, job done, steadier than ever.

Edited to add that if you need another mirror try Ian at http://www.itstvr.com/_sgg/m4m2s8_1.htm
He had some secondhand units in recent when I spoke to him. Hth.
