Panasonic Viera TV set-up help required please.

What have you tried, already? Admittedly, I don't have cable, & my other kit is Panasonic as well, but once the cables were plugged in, it just got stuck in & DIY'd.
I'm a bit stuck for anything more, Mrs is catching up on Corrie, but I think the remote should have a "menu" button - once in there it should take you down the options. Last one is "set up", I think it's in there somewhere.

The old set up is with the analogue, fuddy-dud TV having a set channel ( No, 7) which the cable digi receiver is accessed by. In a similar way the old TV had a different channel to access video recordings....and was always a marvel how I managed to get the DVD to work.
I haven't bothered to use video or dvd for ages as it was such a hassle, and they all use different remote control pads. However they have all worked together at one time in the past..
There's probably a short cut using different cables that will fix all of this quite simply....thinking HD lead...but digi box is still on scart....so perhaps I need a new one?

Without any real info to work with:
If you're using an aerial lead (coax) between the TV and digi box, turn the digi box on, then scan for channels (auto tune) the TV. Now select analogue (there will be tv/dtv button or similar on remote), et voila ch 6 or 7 will almost certainly be the cable box.
If you have scart, plug it into scart out (check, some digi boxes have 2, so use number 1), plug into scart 1 of telly.
Turn cable box off and on, should appear - if not selcet scart 1 on TV witht he remmote- look for button labelled input, or a little rectangle ish thing with an arrow pointing inwards.
Finally, if you're going widescreen for the first time, select setup on the cable box, choose widescreen then RGB on scart out if possible - will look prettier.
If you're still stuck, befriend somoneone younger than you.
