I want something good quality. Anyone have a recommendation?

I've used Fancyplates online in the past and they are fine but curious who makes "the best" plates?

Now would any Aston owner actually do that? smile

I would like to remove the space if possible which I don't think is too serious a crime. I also want to make sure the plate is the best quality I can purchase.

What differentiates a good quality plate from a poor one?

Something which isn't going to delaminate and I guess just looks well made.

I don't want to start a whole new thread but what's your opinion on this plate?

A55TON

I've just bought it but not totally decided on if I'm going to fit it. I think it'll look good (maybe!)

Unless your Ass weighs a Ton, I wouldn't bother...

Anyway, Framptons will knock it up for you, if you insist on wearing it...

Back to quality plates - you could get Works Service to make them up, that way you not only get a good quality plate but you get Aston Martin Works Service in small letters along the bottom as well

I like your thinking smile

Bought it on a bit of a whim. I'll get the plates made up and then decide.

You'll get away with it on an Aston, but its a close thing.

Im of the opinion that "personal" plates need to be personal - i.e your name, business, something "personal" to you...rather than a miss-spelt version of the cars brand or model, for which theres a perfectly good badge on the car front and rear already wink

/unless of course its a "status" thing saying "look at me, I can afford a flash car *and* and £50K number plate too" ...but of course a few hundred quid cheapie number plate dosent say that either wink

So ive not bothered with a personal plate on the Aston, and plates were made up by www.gtgrafix.com - black surround, UK flag (saves stickers when abroad) and thats about it smile

Thats strange, I've done work for the bloke that owns/owned that plate and he reconed he would never sell it.

I always thought the same, but had the opportunity at a cheap plate that was pretty subtle (people very rarely notice it anyway, and laugh when they do).

B80BS would probably stay with your wife in a divorce (unless she was your girl friend, you paid for them and wanted them back)
B1LLY would stay with him/her (until money dictated)
initials W2DFK are crap and devalue a car when sold with them on it.oh its only W reg

Well I'm hoping that's not the case as I've recently paid to have my name added as nominee smile

That will look good on the ASTON but be carefull with any misspacing as the BIB are getting very
strict especialy those Black and Yellow patrol 4X4's you see on the Motorway's,Three strikes for misspacing or doctoring and you can lose the plate for good...!!! cop
